Why does a person get plastic surgery? The most common reason is because they feel they are not perfect or they think they need to fix their body. They think low of themselves and believe they can stop that type of thinking through change, but eventually come to the conclusion that they start to feel the same again.
“Like any surgery, it needs to be taken seriously,” Chief of Plastic Surgery at University of California Anne Wallace said.
On June 11, 2017, mother Janelle Edwards died after a fatal procedure leaving behind her 7-year-old and 1-year-old daughters. Her surgeries included breast enhancement, a tummy tuck, and butt implants. She died from a blood clot.
On June 4, 2018, Adianet Galván died after undergoing a Brazilillian Butt Lift, the most dangerous cosmetic surgery there is. The procedure takes fat from anywhere on the body and transfers it to the butt.
“The general emotional arc after surgery begins with depression as you heal, then shifts to a honeymoon phase when you can see the result but soon morphs into some measure of disappointment,” Psychiatrist and Senior Medical Director Joseph Hullett said.
People may think plastic surgery is the easiest surgery there is, but it isn’t. Although cosmetic surgery can make you feel as though you're a new person, the insecurity you feel about yourself will still be there even when you fix it.
Anytime you get something done, you mess with something else on your body. Getting a tummy tuck can cause the thighs to look unevenly or plumper lips can cause the nose to look more noticeable.
“Since i'm young i have no reason for it i mean feelings change but something i think i'll still feel when i’m older is being scared of having the surgery,” Kennedy senior Raquel Rudd said.
Everyone is born different in their own unique way. If someone is still strongly unsatisfied with their appearance, use the determination you have for the surgery to change yourself in a healthier way. This will lead to the person truly becoming happy.
