Guess that’s why they call it the blues, because sadly Elton John has lost his eyesight in his right eye. John got an eye infection over the summer and left him with limited vision in one eye, but thanks to the team of doctors and nurses, someone saved John's lGeife tonight… sugar bear.
The road to recovery is long, but John has been recovering over the summer with his family.
This news comes after John retired from touring in 2023, John’s final northern american concert was at Dodger Stadium. After John retired from touring to focus on spending time with family, John wrote a song for ”The Devil Wears Prada” , a musical based on the 2006 movie based on the 2001 book. Sadly John is unable to see the musical due to the infection.
“I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight,” John said. “So it’s hard for me to see it, but I love to hear it and, boy, it sounded good tonight."
Thankfully in an interview with Good Morning America John said his health “has never been better.”
Doctors think it's going to be a long long time before John's eyesight recovers. So for now, goodbye yellow brick road.
