Fun Things to do While Social Distancing

Watch Netflix

With fun and exciting shows like “Tiger King” and “Criminal Minds,” Netflix is the obvious go-to for people trying to fill the hours while social distancing. Waste hours binge-watching shows to avoid confronting the suffocating loneliness.

Bake

What should you do when you are stuck at home for weeks with no foreseeable end? Bake! Baking can help make you feel like you “did something” with your day while also providing you with delicious treats to snack on while social distancing.

Cry into a Pillow

Sometimes it's all too much. Instead of trying to fight the loneliness, hopelessness, and darkness, just throw in the towel and go cry into a pillow. Indulge yourself in the oddly cathartic experience of muffling your sobs into a cheap cotton-fiber pillowcase so that nobody can hear you. For best results, cry at 3 a.m.

Crafting

Help fill the hours with fun crafts. Look on Pinterest and Instagram for cute crafts to make around moi the house. These fun DIYs can help spruce up the house and make it a prettier place to spend the coming weeks.

Make Voodoo dolls of your friends

Make voodoo dolls of your friends using mementos you’ve collected over the years together. Since your friends can’t be with you physically, they can join you spiritually through the dolls. As a bonus, whenever you hug the doll you will comfort your friend as well.

Experiment with your appearance

Want an eyebrow slit? Think you would look good with a shaved head? Unsure if purple hair would be a look or the biggest mistake of your life? Think bangs are a good idea? Now is the perfect time to experiment with your appearance since nobody has to see you. Even if it ends up looking terrible, no need to stress, you are confined to your house for weeks and won’t have to face the social ridicule.
