Whether you’re simply tired of your bedroom set up or would like to adopt a new aesthetic, these inexpensive tips and tricks can dramatically alter the appearance and mood of your room.

The bedroom is supposed to make individuals feel at peace and at home. A few alterations could be what you need to personalize your room in feeling more comfortable and stylish.

Decorating plain walls can make the room feel more lively and welcoming. If paint is not an option, tapestries, paintings, wallpaper, and posters can make great accents to your room. Daring patterns and colors compete for a chic look that could bring ambiance and a load of personality. A different approach could include a picture collage of your interests, friends, family, pets, or other significant items.

For those who feel claustrophobic in busy rooms where too much is going on, a monochromatic look can be for you. From neutrals, warm or cool tones, color scheme can be important in instilling your acquired vibe. Layered bedding or creative headboards can be useful for a glamorous upgrade that is simple yet elegant.

Lastly, rearranging furniture in your room could help open confined spaces and bring a new feel to what may feel repetitive. When space is an issue, move your bed to a different wall, and alternate your dresser, mirrors, vanity, etc. Oftentimes we tend to keep things in our room such as toys, old books, and other items that are not in use. Don’t hesitate to re-gift your things to local thrift stores, where someone else may have more use for a retired item.
