Moana 2 Makes a Splash at Box Office

Released in theaters on Nov. 27, 2024, the long awaited sequel to a Disney fan favourite, Moana 2 has finally premiered. 


On it’s opening day, it made over two million dollars, and has currently made $300 million dollars domestically and $600 million domestically.


The storyline picks up where it was left off in the previous movie and expands as they venture through Oceania exploring its islands while trying to find her ancestors.


As a Samoan man, watching Moana 2 was more than just entertainment—it felt like coming home. This movie is a love letter to Polynesian culture, and I couldn’t be prouder of how beautifully it represented my people and our stories” SM commented on Google.


After six years, fans were excited over the release of Moana 2.
