Collage of productions coming out.
October has been extremely busy – at least, in terms of new movie and music releases. Some of the most-anticipated and well-received movies were “We Live in Time” and “Smile 2,” while Tyler, the Creator’s latest album CHROMAKOPIA, and Bruno Mars and ROSÉ’s collaboration single, “APT.” have been doing just as well in the music field.
Other popular songs that came out recently include “Fable” by Gigi Perez, who has grown popular for “Sailor Song” from late July 2024, Laufey’s cover of “Santa Baby,” “São Paulo” from The Weeknd and Anitta, “Disease” by Lady Gaga, and The Cure’s first album drop since 2008 and 14th album overall called Songs of a Lost World.
Some of the latest movies to hit theaters are “Conclave,” “Juror #2,” “Here,” and “Venom: The Last Dance.” The last two, however, seem to be doing poorly – the last film of Tom Hardy’s trilogy portrayal of Eddie Brock sitting at 39% on the tomatometer (RottenTomatoes’ critic ratings) and 80% on the popcornmeter (audience reviews and ratings). Tom Hanks and Robin Wright in “Here,” directed by Robert Zemeckis, have earned a 38% tomatometer to 58% popcornmeter rating.
However, if these films are not to one’s liking, there are still plenty more upcoming, including “Heretic” (Nov. 8), “Queer” (Nov. 27), and what is said to be the new “Barbenheimer:” “Gladiator II” and Wicked” are in theaters nationwide premiering Nov. 22.
