Every year around Halloween time, Universal Studios hosts its very own Halloween Horror Nights. This event is for people who love scary movies and want to live the experience in person. The Halloween Horror Nights event is held in Hollywood, Orlando, Japan, and Singapore. This year, Hollywood hosted their event from Sept. 5 to Nov. 3. This event is the perfect night for people who love to be frightened. Does this year's Halloween Horror Nights have the potential to be better than the previous years?
This year, people were given the surprise of a few new mazes in the park like Insidious, A Quiet Place, Dead Exposure: Death Valley, and The Weeknd: The Nightmare Trilogy.
In previous years, the famous dance group “Jabbawockeez” would have a dance show each year at Horror Nights from 2015-2022. This year, Universal Studios presented “The Purge: Dangerous Waters” which is where the “Water World” show normally takes place.
A newer show aside from “The Purge” Universal Studios also presents “Late Night with Chucky.” This is held in the DreamWorks theater where Chucky talks to the audience and answers any questions. He even uses his distinct humor to make the audience laugh.
Another traditional feature of Halloween Horror Nights is the Terror Tram. Each year there’s an attraction with the Universal Studios Tour Tram, but in the Terror Tram, you get off the tour bus and go through this entire walkway of scares, scenes, and more. This year's theme for the terror tram is Blumhouse, a studio that produces movies, documentaries, and more.
Based on his recent albums, The Weeknd has his maze and bar at Halloween Horror Nights. This year he comes back strong with a different maze with lots of music and scares. As you enter the bottom floor down the escalators, his bar is where the Jurassic World ride is.
